Frequently Asked questions:
Do you provide free estimates? Yes in general, as each project we undertake is bespoke in nature we prefer to visit the property to ascertain the scope of works required. Where location makes this difficult we can either charge a small fee for a site visit or provide accurate budget costs with enough information without charge.
How do I get an estimate? We would initially prefer contact via telephone or email. Following this we will be able to arrange a site visit where possible. We will then be able to provide you with a tailor made estimate or budget detailing the work we propose to carry out.
Do you carry out other specialist heritage works? We work alongside a series of other specialists who we have collaborated with for many years and can provide services in fibrous and decorative plastering, architectural paint research, wood carving, french polishing, stone repairs, conservation engineering and more, all to the highest standards suitable for heritage and contemporary projects.
Do you have a minimum value? We do not have a minimum contract value and are happy to entertain any enquiries of a unique nature.
Which areas do you work in? Much of our work is in central London and the home counties, but we also carry out a number of projects in other parts of the UK, Ireland and other countries overseas.
What are your payment terms? We will generally take a small deposit prior to commencing each project. We will then have staged valuations, with the final payment on completion. Any variations will be estimated and agreed with the client prior to works commencing.
Are you insured? You can rest assured that we hold a complete set of insurances, Public and Employers Liability to £5 million and £10 million respectively, and Professional Indemnity to £1million.
